On Monday 21st June, Dr Hephzi will take part in a book club panel discussion organised by the Royal College of Pathology to discuss the popular medical ethics book, “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks”. Hephzi will be joined by the grandchildren of Henrietta Lacks, medical ethics expert Prof Mark Wilkinson and pathologists Sarah Couplan and Esther Youd.
“I first read “The Immortal life of Henrietta Lacks” on my MSc Pharmaceutical Science program. It was an eye opener into medical ethics and how the story of one poor woman’s cancer cells changed the medical world”.
What an honour to be joining what promises to be a provoking and fascinating discussion.
